Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur

As part of my final project as an interactive media designer, I developed a comprehensive redesign of the website of the Bündner Kunstmuseum in Chur. Inspired by the architecture of the old building (Villa Planta) and the modern new building, I developed a concept that combines these two styles visually and structurally. For example, the museum's logo, derived from the building's structure, was used as the basis for the grid design and graphic elements. A font combination of classical Antiqua and geometric grotesque font reflects the symbiosis of traditional and modern architecture. The focus was also on optimizing the information architecture in order to present the museum's extensive content in an easily accessible and clear manner. Supported by micro-animations and scrollytelling, the works of art are staged, improving the user experience and the attractiveness of the museum's presentation.
